STEELE SHARPENS STEELE LLC Terms of Use

STEELE SHARPENS STEELE LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"), owns and operates steelesharpenssteele.com (the "Site") and provides the services available through the Site (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Site or Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or any part of the Site or Services at any time with or without notice. We reserve the right to restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, misuse, violations of applicable terms or policies, participant or platform integrity, or legal or operational requirements.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE SITE OR SERVICES.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes become effective upon posting. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Eligibility

The Services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. By using the Site, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement with STEELE SHARPENS STEELE LLC.

Account Access and Security

You may be required to create an account to access certain features of the Site, including reserving Sharpening Sessions. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account at [email protected].

Any information you provide must be accurate, current, and complete. Our use of your information is governed by our Privacy Notice.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, misuse, violations of these Terms or the Code of Conduct, participant or platform integrity, or legal and operational requirements.

Sharpening Sessions

Sharpening Sessions are peer-led veteran conversations conducted virtually through Zoom. By reserving and attending a Sharpening Session, you agree to the following:

  • Account required. You must have a registered account to reserve a seat.
  • Standalone sessions. Sessions are independent conversations, not sequential courses or a curriculum.
  • Capacity. Current session capacity is 8 participant seats plus the Group Session Leader.
  • Duration. Sessions do not exceed 60 minutes total.
  • Availability. Reservations are subject to seat availability.
  • Cancellations. You may cancel your reservation through the Member Dashboard. Cancellations release your seat for another member.
  • Code of Conduct. All participants are expected to comply with our Code of Conduct. Repeated or significant violations may result in removal from Sharpening Sessions.

Member Connect

Member Connect is an opt-in member directory and direct-messaging feature available to registered members. By using Member Connect, you agree to the following:

  • Directory participation is opt-in. You control whether your profile appears in the Member Connect directory.
  • Messages are stored. Member Connect messages are stored on S3 servers and are not end-to-end encrypted.
  • Administrator review. Authorized S3 administrators may review reported messages and communications.
  • Blocking and reporting. Block and Report records may be retained to protect the integrity of the platform.
  • Code of Conduct applies. The Code of Conduct governs all Member Connect interactions, including messaging, connection requests, and directory use.
  • Suspension and termination. S3 may restrict, suspend, or terminate member access for violations of these Terms or the Code of Conduct.
  • Not monitored continuously. Member Connect is not continuously monitored and is not an emergency service.

What Steele Sharpens Steele Is Not

Steele Sharpens Steele and its Sharpening Sessions are not:

  • Therapy
  • Crisis counseling
  • Medical treatment
  • Mental health treatment
  • Professional clinical care
  • A government program
  • A Department of Veterans Affairs program

Zoom

Sharpening Sessions are conducted through Zoom, a third-party service. By participating in sessions, you also agree to Zoom's applicable terms of service and privacy practices. You must not:

  • Share private session links with unauthorized individuals
  • Circumvent session access controls
  • Disrupt or interfere with sessions in any way

Zoom's terms and privacy practices are available at zoom.us.

Contributions

Voluntary contributions may be made through the Site to support the operation and continued development of Steele Sharpens Steele. Contributions are voluntary and are not represented as tax-deductible charitable donations. Steele Sharpens Steele LLC is not a nonprofit organization and does not have 501(c)(3) status.

Contributions are processed by Stripe. By making a contribution, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms of service.

Contributions support the operation of Steele Sharpens Steele and do not purchase a reserved service or membership benefit.

The Book

Steele Sharpens Steele is available for purchase through Amazon. Book purchases are made externally through Amazon and are subject to Amazon's applicable terms of service, payment, shipping, refund, and privacy practices. We are not responsible for Amazon's policies or practices.

Intellectual Property

The Steele Sharpens Steele name, branding, website content, session materials, and original written resources are the property of STEELE SHARPENS STEELE LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any of our content without our prior written permission.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your personal information to us.

Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third parties. Links do not constitute endorsement.

Service Availability

We work to keep the Site and Services available and accurate, but availability may be interrupted for maintenance, security, or operational reasons. Nothing on the Site is intended to provide medical, legal, financial, or clinical advice.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
